Amreen

Daya requested a character she had long had in mind. Amreen is the guardian of the night sky and stars. I loved her description, so I decided to draw her.

Something that stood out to me was that Daya explained that Amreen's hair is long and fluid, as black as the nocturnal skies with dim light sparkles on it. So I imagined her hair to kind of "melt" with the night sky around her, where the transition is so smooth that it is hard to tell whether you're looking at the sky or her hair.

Since the description of her pose was not as explicit as it was with Cande's Ksenya I decided to let Amreen's back face the viewer, her head turning around. I had a scene in mind where she wanders the skies like every night, but then notices that she's being observed. But she's not surprised or scared or anything, she just notices. In my imagination she would calmly look at the viewer and then continue moving along her path, protecting the skies.
